Tadeusz Kantor: April 6, 1915 – December 8, 1990

Today is the 100th anniversary of Tadeusz Kantor's birth.  Kantor was a Polish-born, internationally known avant-garde theater director, set designer, author and painter. La MaMa was proud to present his work to New York audiences over two decades and celebrate the centennial of his birth.

This weekend, La MaMa presents Zero or More Disposable Lessons - an exploration the mechanics of memory, anatomy of oppression, disposability of bodies, and dancing objects.  This performance confronting the work of Kantor is devised by: Tim Creavin, MarcDeWitt, Peter Gray, Yoni Greenwood, Dominika Laster, Crystal Liu, Leah Osterman, Nathan A. Roberts, Harry Shamansky, Eddy Wang, and Donald Woodson.
