Roman Paska's ECHO IN CAMERA begins performances this Friday, November 8th at the Ellen Stewart Theater. The piece was developed in part at Rober Wilson's Watermill Center in Water Mill, NY in early 2013.
Roman talked to Michelle Trauring for The East Hampton Press while preparing for that workshop.
“The essence of puppetry is the idea of animating a dead thing. Maybe that means that puppetry is always, in some way, an indication of our quest for immortality. It puts it right up there with the big themes.”

And you can see the premiere of ECHO IN CAMERA through November 17th at La MaMa.
